Dear Mr. President,
Congratulations on your victory.
Victory means getting the most votes, of course, in a democracy.
Based on the overwhelming reported fraud from many NGOs, irrespective of the OSCE report, it seems like it would be scientifically impossible for even you, Mr. President, to know whether you actually won the majority of votes.
That’s quite funny isn’t it? That you, the President of Armenia are not really sure, deep inside, whether you are the true chosen leader of your people or not.
That would really bother me personally. If I wanted to lead my people, I would really want them to make that decision for themselves, because I respect my people and that is their decision to make. Otherwise, I would take over Armenia and call myself the Governor General of Armenia or Dictator du jour or whatever moniker I felt like sporting that day. Maybe your party is out of control and the oligarchs are running out of caviar or something and they want to make sure that the flow of the good times doesn’t stop.
Whatever the case, it is time for change.
Whether you’ve won fairly or not, somehow you are now President, again.
What does that mean to you?
Yes, Artsakh is important to us all and we have to struggle together for our brothers there.
But what I mean is how are you going to progress the cause of Armenians, in Armenia and around the world?
How are you going to help pull the country out of its economic, social, and political dysfunction and turmoil?
Obama at least offers hope, even when he lets us down.
Years ago, I started a campaign asking President Obama to do the right thing and stick by his promise to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
You too took an oath, to the constitution of Armenia, to protect the country from enemies foreign and domestic. Those who steal elections from my people are domestic enemies that need to be punished.
It should be your duty to enforce that, even if some think it hypocritical. You should also consider dissolving Parliament and being the first Armenian reformist President who goes out of his way to make sure that future elections are fair and representational.
Serzh, everyone who knows me knows that I can’t stand injustice. And like most diasporan Armenians, I have always been reluctant to criticize your government directly and publicly. But the avalanche of people suffering under your rule due to corruption and injustice is tipping the scale for us all.
You need to know that.
Armenia is desperate for the rule of law more than anything else. And no one can be above the law. You can make that happen, now, by example and presidential decree.
Unite us Serzh.
Inspire us.
Please take this challenge.

:::UPDATE 3-31-13::: We are coming to a close in this years Awards. First of all, we would like to thank all who have voted and who stuck with the rules.
Unfortunately, there were a few bad apples who thought they can just cheat! Our system recognizes fake votes brought on by proxy servers. Since our logs record and time stamp every vote, our system see’s these fake votes and deletes them within a couple of hours. Because of this, the cheaters themselves accused us of cheating by deleting their fake votes. We are not in the business to cheat, we nominated all the artists who we thought deserved recognition, it is up to the loyal fans to vote them as winners. That is how our awards work.
Even when we sent proof to these cheaters, they would come up with all sorts of excuses, “it was my husband”, it was my 50 co-workers” so on and on. Our rules were simple, every person had the chance to vote once every 24 hours for 10 days if they chose to, that’s all! But when we see multiple votes, sometimes 50-80 a day, we had to devise a system to keep things fair and delete those fake votes. I’m sure, all of you fair minded people would agree.
Cheating is not fair on other fans, not fair on the artists and certainly not fair for all our hard work in bringing these awards to fruition.
Sadly, even a couple of artists were involved in these games.
Below is a very small example of what we see. You can see in this photo that two names appear to have voted multiple times in one day, look at the date and time stamp. This is a very small example, we have logs totaling over 10,000 votes and if any artist has a problem with deleted votes, you can contact us at info@armenianpulse.com and request to see your logs.

Serj Tankian, the highly popular front-man to System of a Down just released a Komitas song, inspired by the recent political movement in Armenia.
“I recently recorded this beautiful song in Armenian called Garuna by Komitas, with Tigran Hamasyan on piano. It will be released on our Jazz-iz-Christ record this summer. I want to dedicate it to all those in Armenia fighting for positive change” said Serj.
With two back and forth exchanges via open letters with Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan, Serj Tankian has taken it upon himself to bring valuable light to the current situation in Armenia. Our second year of the Armenian Pulse Music Awards just ended and we are thrilled to make the announcement of all the winners. This year, we had 10 full days of voting by the fans who voted from 57 countries globally. We want to thank every person who voted and shared this event with their friends and family, we want to thank all the artists for their participation, their support and of course their talents. Every single one of you are winners in our eyes and we wouldn’t have nominated you if we thought otherwise.
The APMA is to recognize the top artists who have had an impact on Armenianpulse.com and Armenian Pulse Radio.
In nominating artists, the staff of Armenianpulse.com researched not only exceptional work over the period of March 2012 to March 2013, but also fan interactions within the ArmenianPulse.com website, this includes: most requested artists, most song requests, top artist search results, most hits in artist profiles, video premieres and song hits, comments and likes and other crucial factors.
With over 15,000 votes cast, we are very proud of everyone’s efforts! This was our 2nd Armenian Pulse Music Awards, and we will continue the tradition every year and hope to have a live stage event in Los Angeles by next year. We might end up using a 15 person panel, industry professionals to judge the awards for future shows.
Like all Awards, ours didn’t end flawlessly yet again, Just like last year, we had a few issues of people trying to defraud the votes, but it was nothing our voting system didn’t pick up on. All fake votes were deleted within 2-4 hours of the cast and the rightful winner has won! This is the main reason we thinking of bringing judges for future awards.

Armenchik, the winner of ‘Best Dance Video’ in this years Armenian Pulse Music Awards has just released an amazing song titled ‘Eghek Bari’. Armenchik’s knack for creating hits is untouchable, whether it’s fast paced tracks or heart wrenching ballads, he has found the right formula! And his fan’s agree!
‘Eghek Bari’ touches on a very simple notion to always be good in this life for we will be judged in the afterlife. Lend a hand to your neighbor, your friend. Kind gestures go a long way and it will return back to you. When we first heard the beautiful song ‘Es Em Horinel’ by Lilit Hovhannisyan back in November of 2012, we had no idea it was going to turn into a sort of mini movie. We have lived this love story through Lilit’s character in the music videos and it all comes to end today with the release of the 3rd and final installment. After ‘Es Em Horinel’ we were introduced to what happened to the young girl who left her husband. In the 2nd video, ‘Qez Mi Or Toxeci’, the young girl ventures in the life of a single mother, desperately trying to find her place in the world.

International superstars Tata Simonyan and Kristina Orbakaite have teamed up for a duet! The highly anticipated music video was just released today and it’s sure to be one of the biggest hits this year. ‘Mer Siro Tone’ is the first single off of Tata’s latest CD which is now available everywhere.
The video is directed and produced by the multi-talented Iranian Armenian star Vahik Pirhamzei. Both singers flew out to Los Angeles to film their scenes under the creative direction of Pirhamzei.

A Benefit Concert!
Global Kids Foundation (GKF) a Charity Organization devoted to expanding opportunities, developing leadersips and building communities. GKF is engaged in a avid campaign to establish and expand the first of many Pioneer Palace Youth Centers in Southern California. As any Nonprofit Organization, we rely heavely on the generous donations and contribution of our supporters. In order to raise funds for the first Pioneer Palace Youth Center, Global Kids Foundation will be holding a Benefit Concert on May 19, 2013 at the First Church of Nazarene, Pasadena, CA.
The money raised from this function will be used to support the construction and development of the Pioneer Palace Youth Center. Angela Sarafyan has become very noticed for her role as Tia in the Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 2, gaining quite a following among Twilight fans.
Of course, this is in addition to an ever growing body of work that often garners very positive responses.
One of her earliest roles was on the TV series Judging Amy (2000). She then went on to do guest roles on series such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer (2002), The Shield (2004), The Division (2004), 24 (2006), and CSI:NY (2006).
For quite a while she was often remembered for her appearance in a Cingular Cell Phone commercial, often referred to as the “Cingular Umbrella Girl”.
Between 2007 and 2009, Angela guest starred in episodes of Cold Case and The Mentalist. She was involved in several feature film productions: On The Doll, Kabluey with Lisa Kudrow and Teri Garr, A Beautiful Life with Dana Delany, and The Informers with Billy Bob Thornton and Mickey Rourke.
For 2010, Angela had a recurring role in the Fox TV series The Good Guys, she was widely noticed in a State Farm Insurance commercial, and appeared in several web series such as Sex Ed.
In 2011, Angela appeared in A Good Old Fashioned Orgy and guest starred as an evil mastermind on the Criminal Minds season finale.
For 2012, Angela is helping to promote the Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 2, has also starred in a new web series produced by Taco Bell titled Let’s Big Happy, and guest starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also worked with Marion Cotillard in the film Nightingale

Thank you so much for joining us today Angela!
Hi Harout. Thank you for having me!
Your new movie ‘Lost and Found in Armenia’ just released in theaters this past weekend. I know every Armenian is extremely excited to see this film and it’s already done very well for it’s opening weekend. Can you tell us your experience working on this film, filming in Armenia, and working with these particular Armenian actors.
I love hearing about how people are responding to the film. All I hear is that there are nonstop laughs in the theaters just filled to the last seat. I have to say that was my goal doing this film. I really wanted to make a film for the Armenian community, working with the talents from Armenia and especially in Armenia. What a gift it really was. It was the first time I returned to Armenia since my family immigrated to Los Angeles; the soul of that country lives on its land and you feel it the minute you land. You see Mount Ararat literally in the airport and somehow your heart and soul knows your home. It was one of the most emotional and fulfilling experiences of my life.
I can just imagine that feeling as I have never been to Armenia and it is a dream of mine to be full filled one day soon! In ‘Lost and found in Armenia,’ You star opposite Jamie Kennedy, who is a well known American actor. Our culture surely was new to him, how do you think he absorbed the Armenian culture, can you tell us a funny story or two?
Jamie loved the cows and the cafe’s. He was so confused and scared and somehow it was hilarious. My brother came along with me to visit Armenia for the first time, and Jamie would literally fill our ears with his anxiety while we were eating Mantee, his favorite. Segafredo was his favorite place to drink coffee, near Opera, a beautiful location in Armenia, and his ipad was his best friend with which he made the funniest videos. Oh, and something very sweet occurred with Jamie and his driver, they really became very good friends, but his driver couldn’t speak a word of English and obviously Jamie didn’t speak Armenian, and there were tears in his drivers eyes when Jamie left. Jamie was sad as well. It was the funniest thing seeing them talk to each other, you wouldn’t believe this, but they understood each other perfectly, with gibberish as the common language.
That is very sweet and touching! Thanks for sharing that Angela! We saw the film in the festival last year and we absolutely loved it and loved your performance!

One of the hardest careers to break into and yet you have been very busy in Hollywood, between national commercials, multiple television series and now starring in movies. How satisfied are you with the way Hollywood has welcomed you?
I have to say my relationship with Hollywood has been occurring for a while, and it takes a lot of hard work and perseverance. Its not easy, and it certainly didn’t happen over night and it continues to be a struggle. But I know that acting, being a part of great story telling is really what I’ve always wanted since I was a little girl and it’s worth every second. This wonderful actress whom I recently wrapped a short film with called ‘Night Vet,’ said to me, “I’ve always played, when I was six, and now I’m 86 and I still play.” How perfectly put, I completely live by that, and it is very true for me. To always play, because that’s what we do, we play characters, we act.
That is beautiful and well said! In 2012, you had a role in the Hollywood blockbuster film ‘Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 2′ Now how cool was that?
Being a part of that franchise was unreal.
I’m sure it was, How did it come about that you were cast in the role of Tia, the Egyptian Vampire? Can you give us some insight?
It was really very simple (at least that is how it seemed to me) I had an audition, I went in, and then I received a call and I was cast as this Vampire. I learned a lot working on this film both about this business and myself.
At what age did you know you wanted to be an actress? And what steps have you taken to have come so far in your career?
I’ve always known. It’s just what I did, there are kids in school who like to color or draw, I liked to tell stories, exaggerate them, act them out when the teacher would ask us to tell stories about our summer vacation. I wouldn’t just stand there talking about the event, I would act the whole thing out, cry, laugh, get angry, act every part, (my dad, mom, cousins) and then sit at my desk embarrassed that I just did that.
What advice can you give other young aspiring Armenians actors?
The most important thing is to follow your heart. You should really ask yourself why you want to do what you chose to do, and when you really know the answer, honestly, then I think you have follow that dream.
Can you tell us what we can expect from you next Angela? what are you working on now?
A film I did called “Paranoia,” will be out this summer in August, it’s a really cool psychological thriller which I think a lot of people will enjoy. Another movie called “The Immigrant,” will be out I think the end of this year or the beginning of the following year. So look out for them. They are very different from one another and then also different from “Lost and Found in Armenia.”

Richmond Media Entertainment is proud to announce that Colin Cunningham (“Falling Skies”) and Bokeem Woodbine (“Total Recall”) have signed on for the new indie action/drama Guardian Angel.
As the writer-director on the project, Vahik Pirhamzei (“My Uncle Rafael”) also plays Ray Ardalan, the head of a private security company assigned the task of protecting an aspiring model, Vicki (played by Justine Wachsberger), from the vicious hands of a human trafficker, Gregor (played by Cunningham). Woodbine plays an intuitive detective chasing the case.
Rounding out the cast are Ray Wise (“Twin Peaks”), Costas Mandylor (“Saw” franchise), Christopher Atkins (“The Blue Lagoon”), Houshang Touzie (“Argo”) and Anne Bedian (“CSI”). Additional cameos by Janice Dickinson (“America’s Next Top Model”) and Christopher Knight (“The Brady Bunch”) will add flavor to the film’s already notable ensemble cast.
Pirhamzei most recently co-wrote, produced and starred in the title role of the award-winning comedy, “My Uncle Rafael,” with John Michael Higgins (“Yes Man”), and Missy Pyle (“The Artist”).
“Guardian Angel” will begin shooting mid-June 2013 in Glendale, CA with an immediate theatrical release targeted for late Fall of this year, confirms Richmond Media.

One of the top Armenian female singers Silva Hakobyan has just released her latest song and music video. ‘Leave A Light On’ is Silva’s second English song within a year, fans can remember just this past February, when she released a hypnotic song ‘Don’t Apologize’ featuring MIC and Produced by TwoGuyz. That video was shot when Silva visited Los Angeles.
Her latest ‘Leave A Light On’ was shot in Armenia but most of the post production came was done in Los Angeles also.
We had a chance to listen to ‘Leave A Light On’ in the studio when Silva recently visited LA. At that time we were fortunate enough to present her with her 2013 Armenian Pulse Award for Best Love Song for her beautiful work on ‘Ushacel Em.’
